Background
Northport coordinates freight movement across a network of regional ports. The legacy stack was a tangle of spreadsheets and email β slow, error-prone, and impossible to scale.
What we did
- Replaced spreadsheet operations with a typed, real-time dashboard
- Designed a role-based UI so dispatchers, brokers, and ops see only what they need
- Shipped an audit log and document trail that satisfies enterprise compliance
- Integrated with three carrier APIs without coupling the domain logic to them
Outcome
Booking-to-confirmation time dropped from days to minutes. Onboarding a new carrier now takes hours instead of weeks.
